Bring Hope and Redemption Behind Bars
Luke 4:18 Ministry is dedicated to bringing hope, encouragement, and practical support to those who are incarcerated in the greater Phoenix area. Founded by Rick Wappel, the ministry offers free counseling and low-cost housing assistance to help individuals reestablish themselves in the community after release. Using the Rescued Not Arrested curriculum, they conduct over 40 worship services each month across city, county, state, and federal facilities, as well as juvenile centers. Through these efforts, dozens of inmates are baptized each month, and many are connected with local churches to begin a new chapter in their lives.
In addition to spiritual guidance, Luke 4:18 Ministry distributes Bibles, New Testaments, Gospels of John, and role model books to help inmates deepen their faith. Each gift helps sustain these life-changing efforts, ensuring that more individuals can experience the love of Christ and the hope of a brighter future. Together, we can support this vital mission and make a difference in the lives of those seeking redemption and a fresh start.
